PRIVACY POLICY ORIENTAL MERCHANT (EUROPE)
This privacy policy applies to personal data from (employees of) our customers, job applicants, suppliers, relations, subcontractors, website visitors and other persons that have a relationship with us, collected and processed by Oriental Merchant (Europe). Oriental Merchant (Europe) acts as a data controller regarding these groups. For the purposes of this policy “personal data” is defined, in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation, as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject).”
COLLECTION, USE AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Oriental Merchant (Europe) can collect personal data about you in a few ways, including directly from you when you provide it to us via telephone calls, via correspondence by letter, fax or email, via your use of our website and our services or when you deal with us (online), or when you apply for a position with us. The types of personal data we generally collect include:

- Business name;
- Business address;

- (Business) telephone number;
- Other personal data that you provide to us in relation to our services.
Oriental Merchant (Europe) will use and disclose your personal data for different purposes:

Oriental Merchant (Europe) uses technology such as “cookies” on our website. When you access our website, our server collects anonymous information regarding the number of visitors to the site and the pages viewed. Users will not be identified. The information is collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the website. We do not collect personal data from cookies during normal website usage. Cookies are used to analyse the use of our website with the purpose of improving the website. For these sole purposes, no consent is required. We will never collect more data or use these data for other purposes, without your consent.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
If it is necessary for our business purposes, the performance of a contract or if we are legally required to do so, we may disclose your personal data to other organizations and persons including our insurers, lawyers, accountants, auditors, contractors, consultants or government agencies. We may share personal data with any member of our group of companies this includes our holding company, our ultimate holding companies in China and Hong Kong and all its subsidiaries.

If you object, we will immediately cease the data processing and await the outcome of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with copies and/or reproductions of your personal data and then permanently cease processing them.
In addition, we do not make decisions based on solely automated processing about matters that could have (significant) consequences for those involved. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without the involvement of a person.
To make a request to exercise any of these rights in relation to your personal data, please contact our Privacy Officer in writing through the contact details set out at the end of this policy. We will assess your request within four weeks.
COMPLAINTS
Please address any questions about this policy or complaints about a breach of your privacy to our Privacy Officer at the address set out below. We will make every effort to handle your query or resolve your complaint within a reasonable period after we receive your request. If you suspect we are not complying with data protection regulation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or any other data protection authority in the European Union.
